Quick Biography: Gaheris is the middle brother of the five Orkney brothers, Gareth younger, and Agravain, Gawain and Mordred, older. His younger sister is Clarissant. He is the child of Morgause and King Lot. As the one who really didn't fit in at all, he grouched around a lot being uncomfortable before heading off to Camelot, where he was knighted. He generally mucked around a lot not doing very well at very basic things, but the turning point came when he married his beautiful and incredibly bitchy wife, Lynet, who became the joy of his life. He still failed at everything he tried to do, but at least Lynet was totally awesome. Anyway, long story short, he went into exile, see below, where he had Lynet had a kid, who showed up in DF for a while and then left, and then they all came back home just to be killed by Lancelot and various others, respectively. It was Depressing.

Appearance: Shorter than Mordred. His smile is slightly bitter and Off, but only because he is so utterly confused by his family, his situation, and himself.

Personality: Gaheris is generally kind of a nice guy, if a bit jaded, and, although naturally suspicious, once you've gained his trust you've got it for a good long time. He's also edgy and slightly neurotic. Like all Orkney boys, he is devoted to his family, except for his mother, who he adores and by whom he is slightly creeped out. And then there's the small matter of his having killed her. Sometimes we think that Gaheris has begun a slow descent into madness that's imperceptible only because everybody else in his family is so weird already.

DF Canon: In DF, the boy is glad to have his family, although the fact that they're all insane is somewhat stressful. Upon arrival, he had a brief love affair with his brother's wife, Cywyllog, but has ended it, much to everyone's relief and his great embarrassment. He is trying to avoid becoming involved in any way with anyone except his wife and so far succeeding, being not really comfortable talking to anyone.

By now, by the way, his relationship with Agravain is pretty much shot to hell.

Also, after irritating the hell out of Mabon, he was set back to directly post-killing Morgause memories, and was something of a wreck, to put it mildly, until Morvydd found him wandering around in the woods and intervened, restoring him to sanity but not, unfortunately, preserving his DF memories.

Aaaaaaaand then his mother came, and everything went to hell. He disappeared back in July, and has only put in a tentative re-emergence in December, but his memories at least are restored. He has had an unfortunate run-in with Lamorak, his mother's previous boyfriend, and is kind of clinging to Morvydd and living with her for the time being.

Also? His friendship with Cimorene is really weird.
